Mary Jane Fales

Mary Jane Fales joined Bridges as a volunteer in January 2010 and a year later joined the staff.  For the past few decades, she has worked as a consultant in a variety of non-profit roles. Recent professional experiences have included serving as acting executive director of International Social Service-USA and working as press secretary for NY Assembly woman, Ellen Jaffee. From 2000 until 2005, Mary Jane coordinated public relations for Saint Dominic's Home.

Mary Jane recently retired from the board of ISS-USA but remains on the International Council of the Geneva based organization. She holds an MSW from Rutgers University Graduate School of Social Work. Mary Jane and her husband Martin Flaxman reside in Nyack, NY and have two children, Leah (19) and Seth (25).
